Before I start.
I want to say that due to the fact i want to use unity for this task and that i have limited experience with this program i think its best i make a 2d game and im well used to the creative process as iv made some before.
Idea one
Metroid Matinee
This term is used to describe a game that has an dungeon crawler basted game. Where you run throught an infinity generated area just trying to survive as long as possible. Fighting monsters and gaining items to power up along the way.A good example of this is hades Metroid menus and come in many shapes and sizes for example Hayes is a hack and slash underworld roguelike dungeon crawler so it actually falls under two of the categories I'm talking about today. I'd love to take a game like this into the 2D space and see how well I could recreate something in its image.

This a game where the focus is learning enemies movements patters in order to find the best way the beat them. These games have boss's with interesting gimmicks and weakness's that the player can exploit for an easier victory. Believe It or not Dark Souls is a souls like it's where the genre came from was born from Dark Souls.
In Dark Souls you spawn as a unnamed weak character in every single Dark Souls game this is the case. you grow stronger and stronger defeating stronger and stronger enemies along the way learning their movement patterns two best then and then at the end of every area fighting the boss. these games are known for being notoriously difficult but it's not the case. They simply have a Hight learning curve.
We have seen what others can do with this premise and how vastly different the outcome can be.
