Game fun

I feel out of all the material that I've read the video is what best explains it the idea of games being split up into two types I would argue that there is possible other types such as sandbox games like Minecraft where the player discovers their own purpose and aren't given a linear path to follow.

but the argument still stands instinct skill-based games and strategical thought-based games type one and two.

the video goes on to describe civilization chess go and poker or being games where you use logic and deduction to get to your solution. we look at other games like as was the examples in the video Mario first person shooters and competitive fighting games as all instinctual reaction based memorizing games. based on the user's physical capabilities.

Furthermore, it starts to discuss flow theory the idea of a game gradually getting more difficult to match the players skill or physical capability. This originated from space invaders due to a coding book which amplified their games experience and added a new element which was never seen in any game before.

difficulty in games isn't always the answer often time it isn't, different players want different things from games people who play games like age of empires three civilization and dawn of war they don't want a reaction based game they want a game that needs skills like manipulation foresight management strategy things like these.
